TNA Impact 09/02/10 by Dr. Money
Welcome back Money-acs to the TNA Impact Review. It is now September, football is in the air and it’s time for some pennant race baseball. The only thing that’s missing is a quality wrestling show, something this week has lacked thus far. Let’s see if TNA can turn that around.
Today’s episode of TNA Impact is titled “10.10.10”, whatever the hell that means.
The show kicks off with Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff making their way down to the ring. They are with some smoking hot woman named Miss Tesmacher (sp?). I’ve heard of her but never seen her until now, she’s leave your wife and kids hot, wow. Hogan wants to call out each of the semi-finalists in the TNA Championship Tournament. Mike Tenay reminds us that later tonight Kurt Angle and Jeff Hardy will team up to take of The Pope and Mr. Anderson. The teammates will be squaring off against each other in semi-final matches this Sunday at No Surrender. Once they’re all in the ring Hogan tells them whoever wins the TNA Championship needs to raise the bar because they can’t have what happened to RVD happen again. Bischoff gets a chance to speak and says the tag team match for tonight is “controversial” but it’s done to see which of the four are worthy of being champion. Through all of this, Abyss makes his way ringside with Janice in hand. Abyss gets in the ring and says the “they” he refers to is neither EV 2.0 nor Fortune. He says they are ready for their revelation and have even picked a date 10/10/10, guess that’s where tonight’s title comes from. Abyss says on 10/10/10 they are going to take over TNA and turn it upside down and they will get rid of Ditsy, oops, I mean Dixie Carter, Hogan and Bischoff. He points to The Pope and Hardy and says “and you.” Tenay says they have to take a commercial and Hardy punches Abyss as we go to commercial. What the hell is this whole “they” thing? It’s probably another one of TNA’s feeble attempts to create buzz.
Madison Rayne and The Mystery Biker Chick defeat Angelina Love and Velvet Sky (DUD)
Before the match even started, the four women brawled on the outside. The bell finally rang and we got a very boring match. Thankfully, it only lasted 2 minutes. With the referees back turned the MBC hit Sky with her helmet and Madison made the pin. Sky will take on Rayne this Sunday. I don’t understand why TNA or WWE even bother with women’s wrestling when they give you this crap. It’s an embarrassment and both companies have ladies that can actually work.
After the match, Madison and the MBC rough up Sky and Love some more and then the MBC reveals herself as Tara aka Victoria in WWE.
Stevie Richards pins Abyss (1/4*)
This was another match that started as a brawl on the outside and then went 2 minutes. At least TNA’s being consistent. Abyss dominated the match and then went to get a chair. The referee tries to prevent Abyss from using the chair, Abyss moves him out of the way and then eats a Stevie Kick and Richards makes the pin.
After the match, Abyss attacks Stevie and we cut backstage to see EV 2.0 and Fortune having to be separated by security. We come back to the ring to see Abyss going to get Janice and Brian Kendrick of all people comes to make the save.
We head to the locker room with The Pope and Mr. Anderson. It’s the typical “I don’t like you and I don’t trust you, but I got to tag with you” promo.
We come back from commercial and Tommy Dreamer is in the ring with fellow EV 2.0 members Sabu, Rhino and Mick Foley. Dreamer calls out Fortune for a fight and they come out to the ramp. AJ Styles tells EV 2.0 that none of them stand a chance in their matches Sunday. Sabu challenges Douglas Williams for the X-Division Championship, Rhino faces Abyss and Tommy Dreamer battles Styles in an I Quit Match. Tommy says he doesn’t want to wait until Sunday. He tells Fortune to pick their four to take on the four of them. This was another yawn of a segment. Dreamer, who is usually a good talker came off bad here and Styles almost made Michael McGillicutty’s promo from NXT seem good. Almost.
We head to the back where Jeff Jarrett is talking to Samoa Joe. Jeff is readying for his match with Sting tonight and again asks Joe to watch his back and once again Joe denies his request.
Sting defeats Jeff Jarrett (DUD)
Yep, this stunk too. I wasn’t expecting much and got less than what I expected. The match came in at about 3 minutes. Was there a move other than a punch performed in this match? They brawled on the outside a bit and Jeff tried to suplex Sting back in the ring and Kevin Nash tripped up Jeff and Sting landed on top to get the pin.
After the match, Sting and Nash take it to Jeff and Hogan’s music hits and then Samoa Joe makes his way through the crowd to make the save for Jarrett.
After Tenay and Taz run down the No Surrender card Brutus Magnus and Desmond Wolfe are in the ring. They will be challenging the Motor City Machine Guns for the TNA Tag Team Championship Sunday. They tell us that we’re embarrassed to have the Guns as champs and come Sunday they are going to save us. Here come the MCMG. The Guns say they’re the best team in the world and if London Brawling doesn’t believe them listen to the fans. They go back and forth making gay jokes, hairless ball jokes and calling Chelsea a call girl. Chelsea tells Wolfe he has a small penis and then Brawling attacks the Guns. They leave the Guns laying heading into their match Sunday. One word sums up this segment, dreadful. The mic work tonight has been hideous. The Guns are truly awesome in the ring but they should never touch a microphone.
We head to the back and Mick Foley is getting worked on by the trainer and Tommy is worried he can’t go for the EV 2.0/ Fortune Elimination Match tonight. Kendrick comes by and offers help to EV 2.0. Tommy wants him to get lost but Foley gives him his blessing.
Hardy and Angle are in the locker room and Hardy tells Angle if he loses Sunday his career is over and Angle tells him he doesn’t plan on losing.
AJ Styles, Beer Money and Kazarian defeated Tommy Dreamer, Rhino, Sabu and Brian Kendrick in an Elimination Match AJ Styles is the sole survivor (**3/4)
I’m just going to run down the eliminations and how they happened and then get to my thoughts on the match. The 1st elimination occurs about 2 minutes in when Douglass Williams trips up Sabu and Kazarian rolls him up to get the pin. After Sabu is eliminated he attacks Williams and they brawl to the back. About 5 minutes in, Kendrick catches Kazarian with a leg lariat to eliminate him. Styles comes in and Kendrick chokes him and as the referee tries to pull him off, Kendrick dropkicks the ref getting himself disqualified. At the 13 minute mark, Rhino is setting up to hit the Gore on Roode, but sees Abyss make his way to ringside and he goes after him and he gets counted out. 2 minutes later after some miscommunication by Fortune, Dreamer hits Roode with the DDT and pins him. Seconds later, Dreamer rolls up Storm and it’s down to Dreamer and Styles. The end of the match came when Dreamer was setting up for the Figure Four but Flair distracted him leading to a brawl between him and Mick Foley. Matt Morgan tried to enter the ring and Dreamer took care of him but when he turned around he got a thumb in the eye and a Pele Kick and Styles pinned him for the win at the 18 minute mark. Thank you, finally a nice long wrestling match. It could have been better with the time it got and it was overbooked at times as are most matches in TNA but there was solid work from all involved and it made an enjoyable TV match.
D’Angelo Dinero and Mr. Anderson beat Kurt Angle and Jeff Hardy (*1/4)
So, the Impact main event promoting the two main event matches at the upcoming PPV gets all of 4 minutes. It’s not hard to see why no one buys TNA’s PPV. Angle got the hot tag and cleaned house but Hardy thought he was going to hit Anderson with the Whisper in the Wind but caught Angle instead. Anderson went to cover Angle but The Pope beat him to it and stole the pin.
After the match both teams, who are opponents Sunday brawl with one another and this is how Impact goes off the air.
Final Thoughts
Can I please get a good show to review on this website? This show was freakin’ terrible tonight. TNA should be ashamed of themselves for putting on such a low quality show as the go-home episode of Impact before No Surrender. Based off tonight, I wouldn’t order the PPV if it only was $5. The mic was work on this show was horrendous. There was not one person, not even Hulk Hogan that cut a halfway decent promo tonight. AJ Styles was the worst of them all. He goes in the category of been seen and not heard. He should let Flair do all of his talking. I’m am bored to death of the Jarrett/Sting/Nash saga. It’s not 1999, no one cares. They should have led off the 2nd hour with the EV 2.0/Fortune match and left more time for the main event. Today, I read that Impact is live on 10/7 and Ditsy says that TNA is going to change the universe or whatever the hell she claimed. Ms. Carter, your company is sinking and fast, get rid of the old people and focus on wrestling. You want to beat WWE? That’s how you do it. Then 3 days later on 10/10/10 at Bound For Glory “they” are coming? Who is they? Are they aliens? Are they more washed up has beens that don’t draw anymore? I’m sure it won’t be anything that will be a game changer because TNA’s brought it 46 game changers in the past year and nothing has worked because the show is still bogged down by old people. Say what you want about WWE, their shows aren’t dominated by guys on the other side of 50 like TNA is. Bischoff has got the nerve to knock WWE’s youth movement. Hey jackass, don’t you remember what happened 10 years ago when you sunk WCW relying on old people and never created new stars? You’re doing the same damn thing now with the same old people! This show was on the verge of getting a 0, but the Elimination tag is going to save it. The 9/2 Impact gets a 2.5/10.
As always, it’s social network plugging time.

Good article, saves me having to watch it :)
Nice Review. Not that it matters but I’d give it a 4 out of 10, not 2.5 but anything under a 5 doesn’t deserve a rating anyway, sucks you have to review this show every week but if I was you I wouldn’t give it a rating when it sucks this bad just label it = fail. Speaking of failure, I thought if Angle lost any matches he would retire? I guess only when it is convenient to the story. And RVD is going to break his silence this week? Between elimination tag matches, someone returning from a vegetative state, horrible woman’s matches and all the ex-WWE performers you’d think WWE writers might have a P/T job writing under the table for Dixie.
Great review Dr. Money. Yes, that Knockouts match did suck. The match has several bad spots in it. Velvet isn’t as good in the ring say as Angelina Love or Tara but I think it mostly was hurt by the bad spots in the match. Wow, the mystery biker is Tara, like we didn’t know that four week ago. Big problem with the TNA knockouts is Hogan and Bischoff don’t understand and don’t care about women’s wrestling. The Knockouts division started going downhill when Hogan and Bischoff took over.
EV 2 is a waste of time because it takes away from gave like Jay Lethal and Amazing Red. Same thing for Sting and Kevin Nash as they can’t perform like they use to. Another problem is the Wolfe and Magnus are now challenging MCMG for the tag belt and we’re suppose to know they been a tag team for a while. It’s stupid to start storylines on TNA Xplosion when it doesn’t air in the US. Then they bring the storyline over into Impact and we US viewers are suppose to know what’s going on. Yeah, you are right about the main event Dr. Money. They make a big deal about the main event and then only give it four to six minutes, very poor booking.
Not a good Impact at all. It’s not the worse Impact ever but was bad over all.
@Billy James
Just because Magnus and Wolfe are from England they put them in a horrible tag team with an even worse name. TNA will not let anyyyyyone team up more than once without giving them a name. Ink Inc took 1 match to get the name they loose tag title shot and now they rarley if ever team up and London Brawling took a couple Xplosion matches and a trip to the mall. All I here is how TNA’s tag division is sooo good but if all they have are MCMG, BeerMoney, and GenME thats not a strong division its just 1 great tag team and 2 good teams with abunch of thrown together wwe type tag teams after them. 3D doesnt count they are just awful now.
Miss Tetsomething was Brooke in the WWE. Maybe you’ll remember her as one of the ECW strippers, along Layla and Kelly.
This show sucks lately.
Dude , u come off as a wwe mark who was forced to review tna . But I guess the issue in geting a good review for this site is finding someone who can write well that is happy with the way things are going and sees throught all the bs to fine the good
the samoa joe thing is cool because he could wind up kicking all four of there asses and start up the ” joe goina kill yah ” tude
the ev2.0 thing is cool because they will NEVER GO AWAY . as long as fortune goes over in the end , the angle works in my mind .
The tara thing is cool , i mean why whould SHE join HER ?
new tag team on the block and i like it in london brawling .
good show that u missed the mark on
Hey money. Good review and I agree with most of what you say. I do think you should try and be a little more understanding… The fact is, regardless of what show you would cover on TJR, all of them would be pretty shitty. WWE and TNA have both been putting on a lackluster product as of late.
That being said, I do think 2.5 is a bit harsh. The show was pretty freakin harsh, but they advanced some storylines and created some hype for this Sunday. I for one, am looking forward to seeing Sabu and Williams in a match. I also think Rhyno wrestling is great to see… The guy can work and hasn’t been used in ages. Dreamer VS Styles will probably underwhelm, but hey, it’s I Quit, so maybe they’ll pull out some good slots.
Sting and Nash bother me to no end… Which is a shame, because I used to love Sting, even in TNA. But now, well, the storyline just seems to be dragged out… They really need to reveal what’s going on, because it’s gettin to the point where they’re just stretching it out way to far and no one is giving a shit.
I have a feeling ‘they’ is Hogan and Bish. This has been buzz for a long time, but I’m pretty sure it will be revealed that Hogan and Bish are the ‘they’ and they’ll boot dixie out and be ‘running’ the show as heels. Then Sting and Nash will be the faces and everyone will know they were right all along… Yada yada… Even though I think heel hogan is much more compelling than face hogan, I hope things don’t go that way for originalities sake and they do something different… But I hope that doesn’t entail bringing new talent in, because TNA has enough of that.
In any event, I liked the review. Wish they had some better quality matches on this show… I guess with ONE show it’s hard to display all your talent and have as many feuds as you could… But it’s just a shame to see guys like Lethal, Amazing Red, Hernandez and so many others have to sit on the side lines.
@anthony merola
even TNA fans are admitting that the show is plain bullshit nowadays, seirously anthony, take a look at the impacts before bound of glory last year, they were decent, worth watching, and they were enjoyable, man i even felt interested in getting last year’s bound of glory and it was amazing
but nowadays, its just going to waste, its literally WCW all over again, and its painful to see, because they were going on a great path last year
nice colum Dr. M. seems sadly that you have a curse on you, you’ll end up reviewing a shitty show all the time, i still wonder what the hell happened in TNA 9 months in and its at its worst
there still going on a great path roler42
1. who are they and why are they in abyss’s head ?
2. why is tara with madison
3. can london brawling take the belts of the guns
4. who will win the title and cary the company untill rvd returns
5. why samoa joe with the whole wolfpack – JJ thing and what will be the payoff with that
6. who will come out on top with this fortune – ev2.0 thing
7. will kurt get the belt or got stoped on his way to the top
8. what will happen with the shore when he comes
that is just a short list of the intresting things that tna is doing right now .
You can look to the ex wcw guys or u could look at the curent tna guys . They do some good , some bad but they are on the right path in alot of respects
@anthony merola
You are looking at the story behind the action. Everyone else is looking at the execution. If people can’t pull of decent promos, even if the basic story is fine, the excution can hut it ALOT. Look at the Star wars prequels. Good idea, decent stories, HORRIBLE execution.
Problem with TNA is it’s the closest it’s ever been to being really really great, but yet it shoots itself in the foot every week. It’s frustrating. A few small changes and they could make the show 5 x better.
- Get rid of Hulk/Bischoff
- Have Dixie run the show on TV ala Stephanie running Smackdown
- Get rid of Sting, Nash, Jarrett, Hardy, EV2.0
- Have Abyss’s “they” be young guys that are really impressive, maybe from RoH, rather than washed up WWE guys.
- Keep Flair solely as a manager, and use him sparingly for promo’s.
- Push AJ/Joe/Morgan/Lethal to the top level, at least on the same level as the ex-wwe guys
- Don’t stop matches for ads and have several 15 minute matches on the show
That would be the best wrestling program on television right now if they did that. Apparently the ratings would drop if they got rid of the old guys, but personally I can’t see that.
Google me , it was great back in 03
I like to watch TNA with face value. That way, my thoughts behind the WWE, or other professional wrestling is left out my viewing of the show. That way I can try to be subjective to the product without influece from other wrestling companies.
I do like the ideas behind TNA’s story. I like the docu-reality feeling to their backstage material. However, Money is right, Promos sucked. However, I disagree on the Guns, I love Alex Shelley and I love his delivery.
TNA’s problem is that they try to surprise people too much. This whole “They” thing just sounds like that Wes Craven movie. I don’t really care about the power struggle in TNA. A solid wrestling show would keep me watching. I remember it used to be like “every other” impact was good. Now it’s like one impact a month. I really don’t like Hogan. He needs to go somewhere else. I don’t mind Bisch. In fact, I really don’t care if he stays or leaves. EV. 2.0 is old but if they can “execute” whatever the hell it they’re doing well enough then I’ll buy into it. It really does come down to execution. It’s like most movies. Or alot of Stephen King’s novels. The story is very, very important and I like it but damn they need to work on the overall show.
2.5/10 is just stupid.
I don’t know what Dr. Money’s problem is but he did this with NXT and now he’s doing it with TNA.
Either he doesn’t like wrestling, or he is one of these “everything that isn’t 1997 WWF sucks now”.
I’ve read Raw, SD, NXT, WWE PPV’s and TNA reviews from him and I don’t believe I ever saw any mark over a 6.
It wasn’t a great show, but 2.5? Come off it. Go review Extreme Makeover Home Edition with Ty Pennington or something, it might be more your genre of show.
I find the sabu vs dougie match to be very interesting its two completely different styles and could be a 4* if they give them time. I’d like to see Brian Kendrick vs Kaz again that’d be nice. Rhyno vs Abyss is kind of random but whatever. AJ vs Tommy is going to be all AJ and it will make Tommy look very very bad. Overall the matches set up are good but the storys leading to them are confusing unoriginal and deminish the quality of the matches. Ill defend Money on this though because Smackdown and Raw are the best 2 shows reviewed on here and I personally havent seen a review he did for one of those and TNA was no better then a 5 so who gives a shit how low it gets rated by him when we are talking the difference of a F or F-.
AJ Styles looks gay in the Ric Flair robe. He should be a top face, not a top heel.
@Shaman’s Harvest (A.O.)
the thing about being tna’s m.v.p is he does bolth well
No he really doesn’t AJ is trash on the mic. Atleast as a face he didnt have to try talking cocky and shit because he obviously isnt how he is on the show like he is in real life and when u can tell that its a very bad thing. He needs to never talk.
No one should wear the damn Flair robe, it works only for him and barley. Its not like Batista/Orton had to wear that gay attire in Evolution and they didnt copycat the way Flair talked and walked. They took Flair and HHH’s star power and turned it into there own while AJ is trying to be Ric Flair and failing.
A.J is a star . All this ” the house a.j built ” is verry ture . The main diffrence between orton and a.j when ric was the mentor is a.j is a star trying to become an icon and orton was a guy liveing off his dady’s name
the robe and the tude work good for him .
it is like a-rod or bonds on roids after they were allready the best in the game
Randy Orton is a bigger star than his father ever was already and he is only 30. AJ is acting like Flair is his daddy and AJ isnt even considered by TNA management to be in there top 5 guys now it seems. I mean he has the TV title so at this point he is closer to Kofi Kingston then Randy Orton.
In-ring AJ is great but they took that World Championship belt off of him so fast when the big boys came in and thats because he doesnt have the charisma to be the top guy. Kurt Angle is the top guy idc if he has the belt or not but as long as he is there he is the top guy then id go with Samoa Joe even tho TNA fails to book him properly.
I ment at the time of them joining the group .
I don’t think he was living off his dads name when he came into the WWE, maybe he got a shot in OVW and looked at because of his dads name but Randy had always been impressive in-ring and decent on the mic nothing great but his presence is undeniable the guy was born to be a WWE Champion, its called pedigree and you can say he has over 20 years of experience because of how he grew up. Plus he is much bigger in size then AJ. idk no point in a comparison I’m just saying Evolution didn’t ride Flair’s coattails if anything Flair used them to stay relevant and he helped them in promos without creating Ric impersonators. Fortune look like a bunch of jokes in those suits.
@Anon
Who cares what the actual rating is? Its not as if Doc Money gives it a rating so thats what it really is. Good lord. It was a bad show. Thats all. Who cares if its a 2.5 or a 4.5. Regardless of the rating it was not a good show. Why do you have to get so technical?
I watched RE-Action (which is a pretty great idea for a show) and the way Fortune talk on there is MUCH better than what they try to get over on Impact.
Basically on Re-action and shoot interviews they get over that they (original 4), were in TNA from the start, that everyone else is coming into their house, that the ratings plummet when they are not wrestling, and that they are the backbone of it all and really aren’t happy and haven’t been for 7 years about how they are treated.
Which is essentially true. It’s pretty much 4 guys that have carried payperviews but never really given the status they deserve. Most old school TNA fans would much rather see the final four of a tournament, the “backbone” of TNA being Kaz, AJ, Storm and Roode than 2 washed up WWE guys and 2 guys that couldn’t make it in the WWE.
Fortune is a good stable, but it should be limited to just those 4 and Flair managing, and they should be the BIG thing going, not secondary to bischoff, hogan, the “backbone”, “them”, EV2 etc.
2.5/10? Wow. WWE has put on shows just as bad as this that you’d give a 4. I know you really don’t like TNA, so this reminds me of June and NXT Season 1…why are you reviewing it? xD
I was fine with the wwe-marky jabs at dixie and whoever else in the writeup, then I got to the womens match/promo between Angelina Love & Velvet Sky vs. Madison Rayne & Mystery Biker Chick. You suggested none of these four women could work. You suggested Angelina Love, Tara/Victoria could not work. Sir, I ask of you, what the hell womens wrestling have you been watching in the past 3 years? Beautiful People v1 was when Angelina/Velvet came into their own as workers, and that was some time ago. Granted, Love is quite a bit further ahead than Sky, but they both are good workers who are still learning how to be better workers. Tara is Tara and to tell me she can’t work, I just want to slap you silly. Madison Rayne has come a long way since her first debut, and is actually watchable now. Seriously, where do you form your opinions at? Rayne is the only one whos ability I can question, and that’s only because I don’t quite know her backround, how long she’s been doing this, all I know is she’s gotten better.
I mean, sure, none of them are Mickie James, but in all fairness there’s a good chance Victoria was a better wrestler than James was. I’m not even bullshitting when I say that, Victoria/Tara was one hell of a worker. To say none of these ladies are worker-worthy is just blatantly offensive. If you’re going to review something non-WWE, please get that WWE fanboy out of your mouth and insert the inner indy fan in you. Sure, TNA’s not really indies, but it’s closer to that than the WWE would be.
I should also point out Abyss didn’t just point to two or three people when he stated who they would be rid of, he pointed to everyone in the ring, and it looks like he stopped with Hogan.
Thought Dreamers promo was decent. Was it his best? Good god, no. Was it MM reference worthy? I certainly don’t think so. Dr. Money, burying the product he’s reviewing, as per usual, ladies and gentlemen! xD
The main event being 4 minutes of action between all the top ppv title shot guys isn’t going to get anyone to buy the PPV jab just made me roll my eyes more. Dude, do you watch your beloved WWE programming? At all? This is the main event of RAW/Smackdown like 95% of the time. Has been for a while too! Remember the RAW before Wrestlemania X-8? Rock Teamed with Stone Cold vs. Hogan, Nash, and Hall. Hogan won with the legdrop and it wasn’t a very long match. Certainly not 10 minutes + like a match with a load of big names or talent should preform.
I like your work usually money, but yeah, your rabid fanboyism is more annoying than Michael Cole ripping on Daniel Bryan the entire season NxT 1 was. That’s what you’ve become man. Michael Cole. Change before it’s too late! XD
THE SHOW WAS BETTER THAN A MEASLY 2.5…….I JUST POSTED UP MY OWN TNA REVIEW WHICH YOU CAN ALL READ BY CLICKING MY NAME :)
There next ppv looks freakin stupid. I would not waste money on it.
@Tamara Love
So if Doctor Money changes it from a 2.5 to a 5.5, is it going to change how good or bad this edition of Impact was? Its not important. Who cares what his rating is? How about you go by whether you liked it or not.
the rateing being so low makes u stop and think and read it again to figure out just why he ranked it so low . the really low or really high ratings make for interesting conversation .
But TNA is awesome!!!! They can put on 5 star matches!!!! LOL, TNA is dogshit.
dave , acting like a wwe mark does not make u cool
Keep doing your thing, Doc $$$.
Demand decent entertainment.
Don’t start this again Dave.
When was the last time you watched an episode of Raw when you couldn’t predict pretty much 90% of what was going to happen? John predicts pretty much 80-100% of every single PPV match the WWE ever puts on.
WWE is flawed, it’s aimed pretty much at 7 year olds, the big names never lose clean, the matches rarely go longer than 10 minutes, you always know who’s going to win.
Some people like an alternative to that. Maybe this isn’t the best show ever, maybe this week it sucked. But RAW has sucked for a long long time now.
I can even tell you whats going to happen this week. Your going to get matches involving Sheamus/Edge/Jericho/Cena/Barrett whilst talent like Bourne and Morrison will be left off the card or squashed. Ted Dibiase is going to bore us. The Miz is going to cut a promo saying he is awesome, and either attack or get attacked by Daniel Bryan. Cena is going to win his match and there will be 1-3 generic Nexus beatdowns.
I couldn’t really tell you what’s going to happen on Impact. At least thats something.
My only problem right now with TNA is the old guys being there and the fact they never leave Orlando. I hate their fake ass crowd.
my problum with wwe is all the old guys there . I mean kane , taker , rey , regal , bigshow , hhh , finley , henry etc. I mean , get rid of them and give the yong guys a shot
they leve it for house shows and big ppv ,i know , i whent to one once and it was awsome
@Google Me
Before this week, RAW has had some pretty good shows. This past week they got tripped up due to trying to fit everyone in a 2 hour block. They should have went to 3 hours, that was their mistake.
Don’t even get me started on TNA. They’ve had mostly bad shows for 2 months now. You don’t know whats going to happen because first they’re pushing the “TNA Originals”, then they go to guys like Hogan, Nash, Sting, then the next week they are focusing on the ECW guys. That’s the reason you can’t predict what is going to happen, beacuse it’s completely directionless and one big clusterfuck. Fact.
And not for nothing, but I’d rather see Jericho, Edge, Sheamus, Orton, Miz work than Hogan, Flair, Bischoff running around like idiots and the 40 plus club ECW guys “wrestling.”
@BabyGooseROH (A.O.)
Agree about the crowd. That is something TNA should change. Having the same canned crowd EVERY. SINGLE. WEEK. chanting the same stuff all the time makes it come off as a 2nd rate company. We all know it is a 2nd rate company, but still, you don’t want it to come off that way on TV.
@Google Me
The only problem I have is that TNA is not an alternative to the WWE. They are trying to be just like WWE. They SHOULD be an alternate to the WWE.
But they will always be trying to be the WWE instead of doing what they do best. At one point they had a really good Knockout division and a creative X Division and instead of continuing to build these, they let them weaken to promote the WWE castoffs.
How long before Carlito debuts?
Thanks Dcotor Money for a good review. Keep it up.
@Google Me
And I know you view me as a “WWE guy,” but I’m really not. I just can’t stand how lousy TNA is while they claim to be the better “alternative.” Completely disingenious. They’re pretty much WWE Lite with the guys who they push.
I’m a huge ROH guy.
@Dave
as a roh guy , u should know that they are filled with guys that can ” have five star matches “
@Anon
You had me scratching my head, have I never given anything above a 6? I mean you said you never saw it, so I went through my archives and here is every show I’ve reviewed that got a 6.5 or higher.

So you come off it and go watch that show you seem to know a lot about.
@anthony merola
Of course they are. Difference is, they actually push those guys and let them work. TNA used to and still does at times, but nowhere near enough.
personaly I would love to see a re-motavated carltio in tna . If they get it in his head that they will use him the way he wants to be used , he could be a big asset to his company. Not like wwe never signs guys who worked for tna recently .
@Tamara Love
I NEVER suggested that they couldn’t work, in fact I suggested just the opposite in saying that it’s a shame that TNA and WWE give us this type of women’s wrestling when they have women that can work. Whatever else you said in your little rant is fine, but don’t misquote what I said.
@anthony merola
I’ll be the 1st to admit that I love WWE and they are #1 to me, but the weeks leading into me taking over TNA I was watching it and it was good and I volunteered to do it, I was not forced into it. I chose this because I thought it would be better than NXT. TNA’s problem is poor execution and the constant relying on the older guys. The potential is there someone needs to wake up and realize it.
@JCITYHUSTLA617
1st of all, how is my review biased? The show was terrible and that’s how I called it. 2nd what did you give Impact? I actually took the time to read your review and you didn’t add any ratings or scores to it so I don’t know what you thought of it. 3rd, I thought you boycotted me?
@BabyGooseROH (A.O.)
You think this kind of thing is finally done with and then it rears its ugly head again. It’s like you said, go by whether you like the show or not. I’m the one writing the review I have to call it like I see it. I’d be doing a disservice to this site by just pretending everything I see is great just to make everyone happy. Then again, if I did that I’d get ripped for being too positive, so can I really win?
@Doctor Money
Just read my mind and think everything i think . that is how u win .
jk dude , u wrote it , i aplaud u for steping up , dissagreing respectfully is the fun part of the iwc
@anthony merola
There’s the key term, disagreeing respectfully. This is not something that’s practiced enough.
You hit the nail on the head on the AJ promo, I too was expecting shit when he opened his mouth…but what we got was far, far worse. We were “gifted” with shit in a dryer…
Actually Dave and everyone else, I do respect your opinions.
Only issue I have with all the bashing of TNA, is Smackdown is on downstairs. I have been downstairs twice, and I’ve seen a segment with a midget getting electro-shock therapy, and a segment where two underused talents are pulling an old man in a wheelchair.
People may say MCMG and London Brawling did a bad promo. But they did a promo where they stood, spoke about the titles, and promoted their PPV match.
Yes it sucked. But would people prefer it if they were pulling a man in a wheelchair, or playing with midgets or saying “fudge and mustard?”
I don’t get the people that talk like every WWE show is great, and TNA sucks. I don’t get how TNA seems to start off with a 3/10 and has to earn its way up or down the scale when WWE starts out with a 5/10. I don’t get how people can forgive the WWE the fact that you can pretty much predict everything that’s going to happen on NEXT weeks RAW.
I don’t mean to disrespect you guys though, and ROH is the best show going for sure Dave, no question.
@Google Me
I’ve said plenty of times on here or on chatbox that WWE sucks, and that if Jericho leaves WWE, I won’t even have a reason to watch anymore. I think WWE sucks for the most part, but they do have shows here and there that are quality. They are very up and down IMO, as is TNA.
My only “problem” or thing I don’t like about TNA is that their fans make it out to be that everything they do is great, and it’s the better alternative and they push their young guys. When in reality, they push their old guys just as much as WWE, if not more, recently.
worst part is , smackdown and raw suck too .
I think the trick is to find stuff u like about each and every show and focus on that
one day i would like to see segment by segment review of raw v. smackdown v. impact
I rip on WWE & TNA. Yes i am an ROH man, but i still enjoy the other companies from time to time. I dont need WWE or TNA to be good right now. I jus got 10 new ROH dvds. So im gonna be busy for awhile. Lol its good to be a fan of a great company like ROH.
Kings reign supreme.
i say one of u two or someone else steps up and offers to do a roh weekly review .
@Google Me
well google, thing is, WWE’s predictibility is what makes us be forgiving on them, although we’re not so much, just look at the RAW recaps
the problem we have with TNA is that they were doing great until they decided to use this year to try and rip off WWE in literally everything, the storylines in TNA look good on paper, but the excecution is just not what they used to do last year
just take a look at last week, how the british brawl/machine guns feud started, with a time dragging segment with both guys shopping… and also putting over the credit card more than anything, you seriously think people would buy ppvs based on things like that?
you think ratings could also raise with gimmicks like orlando jordan? screw “non-pg” that guy literally rapes his oponents during matches.. people cant focus on his ring-skills because his whole “perverted-bi-sexual” gimmick keeps being rubbed in their faces
tna is sinking my friend, we dont want that to happen but if they keep doing shows that are way off their usual perfomances, then their score wont improve…
@Google Me
Damn right. Haha. I love Hero & Castagnoli. “That Young Knockout Kid” Chris Hero & Claudio “Im Very European Castagnoli… I think those 2 could make it in WWE or TNA especially as a tag team. Altho WWE hates tag teams
nice styles clash mctaker , see wwe rips off tna just as much
Yeah, the Kings of Wrestling could be a tag team in any federation in the world. It just works so well. Love Claudio and his Starbucks coffee. Would love to see them in TNA just to see them work with MCMG and Gen Me.
@Google Me
One of the dvds i ordered has a Briscoes vs MCMG match. It was a match of the year contender.
Why did WWE create Nexus and bring big stables back in style. Now TNA has two of them
`
1) FORGETTING ANY PROBLEMS WE MIGHT HAVE HAD BEFORE, IF A CASUAL FAN WAS TO STUMBLE UPON THIS AND READ THIS BLOG THEY WOULD DECIEDE THAT TNA IMPACT WASNT WORTH WATCHING AND NOW A POTENTIAL FAN WOULD JUST THINK WHEN IT COMES TO WRESTLING WWE IS THE END ALL B ALL. I DONT KNOW IF YOU GENUINELY DONT LIKE TNA WRESTLING OR IF YOUR LOVE FOR WWE MAKES YOUR REVIEW SEEM LIKE ITS DONE WITH A PERCEIVED DIMMINISHED INTEREST AND NO MATTER WHAT TNA DOES IT WOULD NEVER BE GOOD ENOUGH IN YOUR EYES BUT THATS THE WAY YOU COME ACROSS. LIKE YOUR TO FUCKING GOOD FOR IMPACT REVIEWS OR SOMETHING.
2) THANKS FOR CHECKING OUT MY BLOG. I WAS GOING TO OFFER MY OWN THOUGHTS ON IMPACT BUT I WOULD JUST LIKE THE READER TO COME TO THEIR OWN CONCLUSION OF WHAT THEY THINKS. WORDS ARE POWERFUL AND WE HAVE THE POWER TO EITHER MAKE TNA A FEW NEW FANS OR TURN THEM OFF FROM THE PRODUCT COMPLETELY. I WILL SAY THIS THOUGH, JUST BECAUSE A MATCH ISNT 20MINS DOES NOT MAKE IT A BAD MATCH. ME AND YOU CAN HAVE A VERY BORING ASS IRON MAN MATCH BUT WOULD THE TIME REALLY CHANGE THE FACT THE MATCH SUCKED, NO IT DOESNT. A 5MIN SPOTFEST CAN B JUST AS EFFECTIVE IF NOT MORE ENTERTAINING. I THINK YOUR PERFECT IMPACT WOULD INVOLVE 3 15 MINUTE MATCHES AND OSCAR NOMINATED PROMOS BUT THE ROSTER IS SO BIG YOU WONT B GETTING THAT FOR A WHILE. I DO HOWEVER AGREE THAT THE FEW IMPACTS BEFORE YOU STARTED WERE BETTER AND BY COMPRISSON I CAN SOMEWHAT SEE THE FRUSTRATION OF DOING THE REVIEWS NOW. IT WILL GET BETTER, BUT CMON THIS IMPACT WASNT “THAT” BAD.
3)NXT REVIEWS WERE EASY 2LOOK PAST SINCE THE SHOW IS JUST AN HOUR AND I DIDNT WANNA RELIVE SOME OF THE POINTLESS CHALLENGES. ALSO WRITING THE TNA REVIEW AND HAVING TO COMEUP WITH DAILY CONTENT FOR MY BLOG I HAVE A NEW APPRECIATION FOR THE WRITERS HERE ON THEJOHNREPORT. THIS SHIT IS NOT AS EASY AS IT SEEMS BUT I ENJOY DOING IT. NOW IF YOU WOULD LIKE I CAN GO BACK 2THE IGNORANT BULLSHIT AND CONTINUE THE “BOYCOTT”(YOUR THE ONE THAT TOLD ME DONT LIKE IT DONT READ IT) BUT I THINK YOU CAN GROW AS A WRITER BY TAKING IN THE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITISISM AND MAKING LIL TWEEKS HERE AND THERE. I MAY NOT B FEELING THE LOW ASS SCORE, THE SAME WAY YOU MIGHT NOT B FEELING MY SPELLING. JUST THINGS FOR US 2 TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION FOR THE NEXT REVIEW.
ALSO IF YOU CAN TAKE ANOTHER HOUR OF TNA PROGRAMING, TNA REACTION BREAKS DOWN ALOT OF WHAT MAY NOT MAKE SENSE TO YOU STORYLINE WISE. IT HAS A “SHOOT” TYPE FEEL AND LETS YOU IN CLOSER THAN ANY CASUAL FAN HAS THE RIGHT TO BE. MIGHT JUST EITHER GIVE YOU A NEW APPRECIATION FOR THE PRODUCT OR MAKE YOU WANNA KILL YOUR SELF BUT I THINK ITS WORTH WATCHING.
@svrkevi
personally , i like the stables
@JCITYHUSTLA617
1st and foremost, whatever bullshit happened in the past I’m willing to look past it if you are. Like you said, this isn’t as easy as it seems and reading some of the stuff you write, you know your stuff, you just don’t convey it conventionally.
2nd, I don’t watch stuff I don’t like. That’s the point I have tried to make for over 6 months covering NXT. I am a WWE fan 1st but I like other types of wrestling. When the chance to cover TNA came up, I took it because it had been good. It’s like I have the reverse King Midas effect. I don’t have enough time in the week to write reviews just to rip stuff and piss people off. That’s not why I do this. I don’t think I’m above TNA, I mean really who the hell am I? I just want to see good quality wrestling from whoever can provide it.
3rd,I’ve been told numerous time on here to give less of what happened and more of my reaction to it. I personally like that better. It gets boring just covering what happens. Rating a match is fun, like do you give a match *** or leave it just short. You mention a 5 minute spotfest and that’s pretty much what GenMe vs. MCMG was last week. It was a lot of fun. **1/4 is a high mark for a 5 minute match. Impact, to me featured a lot of bad promos this week. It’s hard to give a promo heavy show a good mark when the promos were bad. I gave some RAWs heading into WrestleMania better grades than this and they were promo heavy shows, but the promos were at least decent. I like wrestling. I could do with out a lot of the talking, but I know that’s how shows are these days but can the promos at least be entertaining? Can you honestly say that Styles promo last night was good? It was awful. You want to know what my biggest problem with TNA is and if they fixed it the show would be better? The old people! I mean at least WWE’s older guys can still work like Undertaker, HHH, Jericho. The Sting/Nash/Jarrett feud is terrible. Not one of those guys can work anymore. I was a huge Nash fan back in the day, but enough is enough. Adding Samoa Joe to the mix does nothing for me. I like Joe, I think he’s a heck of a wrestler, but he can’t carry those guys to a good match. TNA has got the horses but they seem insistent on using the ones that should be sent to the glue factory more than the ones willing and ready to race.
I implore all TJR readers, to check out my blog. I think you guys will have a better understanding of what I’m about if you read my other stuff. I think you’ll see I don’t like to just rip stuff. All you guys have known is me reviewing bad TV shows. I review RAW every Monday and I post the “Video of the Day” 5 days a week. I think those things show my true feelings about wrestling more than my work here does.
Apparently, there is no TNA Impact this week. Spike is preempting it for a marathon of Gangland, whatever that is. So with only one night of writing for me this week, I’ll get that Why WWECW was better than NXT column I’ve been talking about done.
@Doctor Money
At the end of the day , u wrote a review and not everyone liked it or agreed with you . It happens .
Personaly , i take tna hate or bad things said about there shows personally .
Doc$, hang in there. It really sux that you haven’t been able to actually review a good show…sooner or later, TNA will turn things around.
My two cents on the legitimacy of rating things is this: you are giving your opinion. People should realize that. That’s what happens with opinion recaps–your opinions are there, and people are free to disagree with them.
the whole thing is opinion based . He rated it way low for most peoples taste . Unless something on that show gets featured on wrestlecrap.com , I think the rateing was way low for the way they hyped up the ppv .
Why was Brian Kendrick in Team ECW?
Yeah, this screams of a WWE fan writing about TNA just so he can bash it. Not sure why Dr. Money is the guy who is reviewing TNA..
@Michael_Ryne
i think by default cause he is the only one who steped up that john had faith in . Hell the last guy got run out after one review . Personaly , i rather have somethin like this that the whole day , there was debate about then nothing at all
@Michael_Ryne
I’m a wrestling fan reviewing a wrestling show. You guys are nuts if you think I took this job just to rip TNA. Go read my 2nd comment to JCITY. I don’t want to go through it again.
@DJ Ian
I agree with you that people have the right to disagree with my opinion, it’s people calling me stupid and that I just took this job to rip TNA that annoys me. Would it make people feel better if I gave the show a 3.5? It still stunk.
This is to all my ROH Money-acs; I actually just checked the mail (it’s 1:30 am as I write this) and I got me a package in there from ROH. They had a 40% off sale last week so I took advantage and scooped up 3 DVDs: Stars of Honor, Steel Cage Warfare and Best of HDNet Vol 1. I’m going to watch a couple of matches on Stars of Honor before I go to bed. If any of you guys have any ROH DVDs that you strongly recommend let me know. It was hard to choose but I ultimately got these because they feature guys I know. The HDNet DVD has like 5 Danielson matches, so I’m pumped for that.
@Doctor Money
personally , i would have liked to see it in the range of a 5-6 . You didn’t like it that much so i can’t tell u to lie and say u liked something u didn’t .
@Doctor Money
Hey if you’re lookin for great dvds from ROH… Here’s a link that i use from time to time. Its a buyers guide that covers the best dvds and some of there not so great ones from 2002 to 2010… You can click on each year. http://www.ultimatepokerbankroll.com/uncategorized/roh-buyers-guide If you want a really good show get “Glory By Honor VIII: The Final Countdown”… It features Bryan Danielson’s last match in ROH against Nigel McGuinness. Its supposed to be one of their best matches. If there’s any Cornette promos jus fast forward cuz he talks FOREVER! Also on that dvd there is a ladder match that is really good with The American Wolves vs Kevin Steen & El Generico for the ROH Tag Titles.

It wasn’t a misquote, I assure you. Not an intentional misquote, anyways. (Technically yes, it was a misquote) The negative skew of the article combined with the way you worded the blurb
“Madison Rayne and The Mystery Biker Chick defeat Angelina Love and Velvet Sky (DUD)
It’s an embarrassment and both companies have ladies that can actually work.”
The part around “this crap” was very vague. I took it as meaning the beautiful people feuding with each other, the workers that were used as opposed to the ones who weren’t used. I didn’t piece it together with the quality of what took place in the ring, which is what you meant and presented in that light is fair.
Besides the weak motorcycle helmet shot (which I can understand, I’d hate to see someone get hurt) I didn’t mind the “match” as a whole. For what it was, it was better than most of what I see in womens wrestling these days (in regards to angles/advancing/setting up feuds) and did what it wanted to do. I was just happy to see women being used in the ring in a way that didn’t involve flirting with stupid guest hosts, or being arm candy to some douchebag.
Call me biased, though.
@Doctor Money
I SEE WHERE YOU COMING FROM, I CAN RESPECT THAT CANT PLEASE EVRYONE I GUESS SINCE WE CALLING A TRUCE IF PEOPLE DONT LIKE MY TNA REVIEW IMA SEND THEM HERE AND IF THEY DONT LIKE YOURS THEY CAN GO READ MINES AND IF THEY STILL CANT B HAPPY THEN THEY ARE JUST BEING ASSES FOR THE SAKE OF BEING AN ASS
@Tamara Love
IF YOU EVER WANNA DO A GUEST BLOG/RANT/STORY ON MY SITE I WOULD SO JIZZ IN MY PANTS :)
Maybe we all can agree that mainstream wrestling has it’s moments but 2010 has been a shifty year for them
@Psychomantis
like any year in the sport’s history , it has had it’s ups and downs but it is more visible now because of Monday night war 2 and the failure associated with it . Both had bad ratings but wwe won that war.
tna does good things , some like dr. money look at the bad ( it was there so im not telling u to forget about it ) while some see past the stereotypes and see the good .
at the end of the day , this was a werid show to review and asses . on one hand , they built to the ppv verry well . On the other hand , not all of the story’s/ matches are something that all can get behind .
you know Dr. Money you keep asking to review a good show… practically begging… and ROH is putting on good shows week in and out… available to watch on youtube at any moment… and yet you don’t do it. I don’t know what to say.. just give it a try?
@ Anthony Merola
I agree. I’ve watched TNA cause I wanted to see Raven, which led to discovering CM Punk and ROH and independent wreslting general, so Ive seen TNA grow into it’s current product. So I naturally want a good show and will find the good things about it out of neccessity to keep watching I suppose. Netherless, I since learned to watch wrestling with face value and put myself onto the position of viewing experience TNA is trying to put on so I can’t say I’m never not entertained but it’s begining to suck for me to watch when I could Be outside doing something else and then reading Moneys review. So yea, I could only wish for the best
@jake
No, if Doc Money starts covering ROH then it’ll become a shitty product. He’s cursed. NXT sucked when he covered it. TNA was doin good shows, then Doc started coverin that show and now its put 2 solidly not so great shows in a row. Hmmm… Doc $$ you are the cursed writer. Mwahahahahahaha
All WWE won over TNA, and all WWE has over TNA is a far larger audience, profit, money, production values, timeslots and all of that.
In terms of what they actually put on on Monday nights, TNA had a far superior product, in-ring and storyline wise. WWE were doing brutal guest host skits at the time and basing their entire show around a 90 year old gameshow host noone heard of outside of America.
The reason TNA lost a ratings war is the same reason a local bakery will lose out to Walmart bakery. The local bakery probably sells much nicer cakes and bread but it doesn’t have the advertising, merchandising, marketing needed to compete.
If TNA had the same money and opportunities that WWE have (which they got on their past glories, not on the shit they put out nowadays), they’d win a war hands down. But they aren’t in the same league financially. Doesn’t make WWE the better show, and anyone who mistakes ratings/sales/brand for quality misses out on the best things in life.
I think one of the biggest problems with TNA is their Orlando crowd. Think about it. When people tune in, especially new fans who are checking it out, what are they seeing. They are seeing a crowd that is forced to be excited. It really makes the product seem very cheap and unappealing. Thats what makes ROH better for me. They get the same size crowds as TNA at their live shows and tv tapings. Sometimes ROH has a much larger crowd than TNA. I’ve seen ROH do shows in front of over 2,000 fans. TNA has like what 800-1,000 fans. The problem tho is they perform in front of the same dang fans. ROH tours with their shows. So they are out there in front of fresh fans who are excited to see there favorite wrestlers and it comes across that way on dvd, tv and ppv. The Orlando crowd comes in and every week you can look in the stands and see the same people. They’re not truly excited. They see AJ Styles & Angle & Hardy every week. These fans are used to seeing these guys. So how can they show true excitement on tv. One of the first things that drew me to the original ECW wasn’t the product right away. It was seeing how the fans reacted in the various towns they’d visit. I’d never seen any crowd react that way and it made ECW look so much better. I remember always being like, holy crap these fans are insane. But i realized when you see a rabid crowd thats going crazy for the wrestlers and the matches, it made what would normally be a 2 star match seem like a 4 star match. I’ve watched ppv’s when they went to like Detroit & Chicago and the crowd gave it that old ECW feel to it. They were so hyped. I know some people are blaming the storylines and the wrestlers, but next time you watch impact, checkout the crowd. They’re horrible, boring and not excited to see wrestlers that they see every single week. Cuz we all kno 90% of the TNA crowd are the same freakin people that show up on a regular basis. They’re practically family. TNA needs to stop this Orlando bullshit & start touring. Why do you think bands have tours. Even when a band hasn’t had a single first hit, they’re already touring. Thats how you get your name out there. You dont sit in one city. How else are fans around the country supposed to get excited about your product. How can they get involved. I live in Washington state and im pretty positive im never ever gonna get to see AJ Styles or Samoa Joe live in person. It sucks. I cant afford to go to Orlando Florida for a wrestling show. Its jus common business sense. I dont see how sitting in Orlando all year long every single year is supposed to compete with WWE who tours constantly all over the United States and to other countries. Its not just about tv and WWE knows that. Thats why they tour with RAW & Smackdown and in between they’re doin house shows. Because there’s a lot of people who want to see the product live. They’re pumped to see it live and most of the time it comes across that way on tv. Thats why TNA isn’t growing and thats why they’re a sinking ship. Same old boring crowd with the same old boring feel to it when we watch on tv.
-end rant
tna haters , gen me and mcm will be epic . If u don’t know that then u are not a real fan
I love the talent. And i think that TNA can put on Ring of Honor caliber matches. But my rant is against TNA’s Orlando crowd and the fact that they never leave one city. I live in Washington so ill never get to see em live. Its sucky.
@BabyGooseROH
because I have seen them live in new york , im biased in that regard , hope they come to u one day soon .
Yea , they have alot of ex roh guys and given the time they have and can put on great matches . As much as I will counteract any and all tna hate , I have to agree with u on the orlando crowd thing . On one hand , i think that crowd and the ones that go there every week are loyal to the point of ecw arena level. On the other hand , as a free atraction at the theme park , im sure they could be the same type of fans who booed and cheered on que like that old wcw show . I would love to see them tour more and do more ppv outside of the inpact zone . I watched Genesis on itunes ( tna beat wwe to the punch in that regard , like three bucks a ppv and they have lots of old ones there btw ) and it looked like impact a bit .
@anthony merola
Ya i wish they’d at least have their ppv’s outside of Orlando. That would be a good start. Having their ppv’s in New York, Philly or Chicago would be awesome. The crowds there are always rabid. My favorite place for ROH to visit is Manhattan New York jus cuz the venue is big, they sell out and the crowd is always hot for the show. It makes it much more fun to watch. Gotta love a good crowd. But i’d love to see TNA ppv’s make the move out of Orlando cuz their crowd there is very very stale. It sounds like canned noise. Not genuine in the least.
I have to agree with this review, having just watched Impact here in the UK, it really was a poor effort. Fortune is to big, if you look in wrestling history stables of 7-8 wrestlers always end up being stale. 4-5 is the ideal, if you think DX, the horsemen, NWO at the start, even the corporation at its best consisted of 4-5 wrestlers, and then vince and his stooges.
There are also too many storylines going on at the moment for one 2 hour broadcast. The attempt to build the tag team division, the issues between the Beautiful people, Them, Fortune, EV2.0, Old wolfpack, the battle for the TNA title, angles retirement. TNA should stop trying to cram so much down our throat, have one or 2 storylines going on, one of them involving the TNA title building to the title match at the next PPV, then a couple of smaller side stories. It feels like they are trying to make every storyline a main event building one, thinking this will make PPV matches all main event level, however all it does is make us not be able to get behind a particular push. It isn’t the ideas are bad, there are just to many of them in one hit, and as a result none of them feel complete.
@anthony merola
dis guy hav something personel against wwe…did they throw you out of arena years ago…y do u hav so much grudge against them…seriously man dis week raw was much better than impact…deal with it…
