By Marc B
‘Ello, ‘ello, ‘ello, what’s all this then? It’s time for Impact on the road in jolly old England. I have been looking forward to this week’s show, as I am a big fan of TNA taking their show on the road. It makes the product seem relevant and adds a sense of freshness. So how did they do? Let’s see shall we? Read more…

Canton’s Corner: The Wrestling Week in Review – February 4
By John Canton

Welcome to Canton’s Corner. It was a good week of wrestling on TV this week. I thought Raw was excellent while both Smackdown and TNA Impact Wrestling were above average this week too. I’ll cover all three of those, plus the usual polls, video, Melo Out and other things you’ve come to expect from Canton’s Corner. It’s the Super Bowl on Sunday. If you follow me on Twitter you know I’m a huge NFL fan, even more than I am a wrestling fan. Before I get to the wrestling part of the column, I need to share my pick.

Note from John: Ring Ka King is a TNA produced project that takes place in India. They air episodes on the Colors TV Network every Saturday & Sunday. The first shows aired this weekend. Reviewing the show for the site is Siddharta Sengupta, who lives in India and can offer a lot of insight on the culture over there while also recapping what happened. Below are his reviews of the first two shows. At the end of the recaps I’ve added youtube links to the shows if you’d like to see for yourself.

Ring Ka King Review – Episodes 1 and 2

WTF: TNA Impact Wrestling 01/26/12

Welcome to another edition of WTF: Impact Review. The last two weeks have been surprisingly good showings for Impact Wrestling, highlighted by the fantastic Aries/Shelley promo that you should watch in case you missed it, and that can be found
here.
The traditional opening video package this week is about the main event picture, which I love right now. I have a feeling this all leads to a triple threat or a four-way match, with Bully Ray, at Against All Odds. I’m cool with that.

WTF: TNA IMPACT REVIEW FOR 1/19/12
By Marc B.
Welcome everybody to your Sunday delight, your fix of mediocrity, the latest edition of WTF! I want to congratulate James Storm on the birth of his new son, Mason James. He was born earlier this week, and is already more talented than Garett Bischoff. On with the review!
Impact opens the same way as it does every week, with a recap of whatever the main event feud is, so they recap the Jeff Hardy/Bobby Roode matches from Genesis and Impact last week. I didn’t see the Genesis match, but last week’s match was fantastic. If you haven’t seen it, you should. Even the ending was done ok, because it was foreshadowed earlier in the evening, so it fit.

Welcome to Canton’s Corner. I have some news that will likely interest you, the reader. Starting February 1st, I will be posting recaps of all 27 WWE WrestleMania events. They will feature recaps of all the matches and segments, plus analysis as well as star ratings. I’ll also give the show a grade, list the stars of the show and add whatever other tidbits I can. I’m excited about writing it as it’s something I’ve always wanted to do. I’ve already written the first three. The last one will be posted one week before this year’s WrestleMania 28 event. They will be exclusive to thejohnreport.net, except for a select few that I will post at other sites as well. Basically what this means is in February & March you’ll get a lot of my writing. With that out of the way, let’s get rolling with this week’s column.

WTF: TNA Impact Wrestling 01/12/12
By Marc B.
Well, here we are on the cusp of another Impact review. This is the first episode after the Genesis PPV, so let’s see what Dixie and Company have in store for us, shall we?
Impact opens with a video package of the main event from Genesis, and how Bobby Roode had to get himself DQ’d to keep the title. They also mention that Bobby Roode is the most selfish man in wrestling. Again. We get it. That leads us to Mr. Selfish to come out.

WTF: TNA House Show Review
By Marc B.
Welcome to my first column of the New Year! I was unable to write about Impact this week, as it was my birthday, and I was celebrating. And what kept me from my weekly TNA duties? Well, TNA actually. You see, I went to a TNA show Friday night in Westbury, Long Island. So my treat to you is a review of my first ever TNA house show experience. Did they impress me? Let’s find out.

Monday Headlines: Matt Hardy Is Sorry
By Jacob Lindsey
Hardy made his long-awaited return ridiculous presence known on the internet again over the weekend, apologizing for all the stuff he got in trouble for in 2011. He spent a year high as a kite, drove around a bunch, got arrested a couple times, essentially ruined his future chances of a career in wrestling, and pretended he was going to kill himself for attention. But it’s ok, because he’s sorry. Read more…

Canton’s Corner: The Wrestling Week in Review – January 7
By John Canton

Welcome to Canton’s Corner. The holiday season is over, life is back to normal for most of us and the wrestling world does not skip a beat. That’s one of the good things about being a wrestling fan. There are no seasons. No breaks. There are some bad things about that too, but I think the good things outweigh the bad in that case. We’ve got the usual format this week with some thoughts about Chris Jericho’s WWE return, the likes & dislikes of Smackdown plus a preview of TNA’s Genesis PPV that is taking place this Sunday. Let’s roll with the polls as always.

WTF: TNA IMPACT REVIEW FOR 12/29/11
By Marc B.
Welcome to the last Impact review of 2011. It’s been fun covering this company for the last ten months. I look forward to seeing what the New Year brings. That being said, let’s get on with the review, shall we?
Impact opens with the usual video package, this time focusing on the Knockouts storyline of Madison Rayne taking over for Karen Jarrett as Vice President of the Knockouts Division. As soon as that’s over, we are greeted by Madison and Gail Kim, and Madison immediately calls out Tara and Assmacher, who oblige. Read more…
