I don’t often talk about happenings outside of the WWE, but that doesn’t mean I only watch Vince McMahon’s promotion. This has been a great week for professional wrestling. Raw was excellent, and saw the seeds planted for a Punk vs. Jericho feud, as well as the returns of Triple H and the Undertaker. Despite this intrigue, I feel more compelled to talk about TNA. Or IMPACT! Or whatever the hell it’s being called right now. Not because of their above-average television show this week, but rather because of the most blatant nepotism the industry has seen since the days of territories. I’m of course speaking of Eric and Garett Bischoff.

WTF: TNA IMPACT REVIEW FOR 12/01/11
Written by Marc B
Welcome to This Week’s WTF! It might seem rushed this week, but I am pressed for time. Ready? Let’s go…
Impact Opens with a video package of Bobby Roode’s family talking about how Roode has changed. Basically, what TNA is saying is that Roode can’t get over as a heel, so they need to make it personal. It kind of makes no sense to me. Have him go ape shit or something. I don’t need to see his family on my TV crying how “Bobby’s changed.” I know Bobby’s changed. He beat up his best friend and cheated him out of the world title. Now, let’s see him beat up some more people. Read more…

This post includes *spoilers* from this week’s Impact, so if you don’t want to know what happens than just stop reading here and save yourself the headache.
If you want to read on, go ahead and just jump down now because I want to start swearing immediately.

TNA Impact Wrestling, in summary.
According to several dirt sheet websites and their message boards it’s official; TNA is (probably, not really, maybe, but not really sure, but will write mis-leading headlines to grab your attention and lead you to false conclusions) going out of business!

I was going to write about the TNA Sacrifice PPV live tonight, but plans changed and I’ll be watching Heat-Bulls tonight instead. It has my interest more than TNA does at this point. Anyway, if you want to talk about the show and share some links while you watch it you can do that in the comments below.

WTF: TNA IMPACT REVIEW
By Marc B. for 5/5/11
Hello again. Sorry the review is so late, but work calls, and that takes precedent. Sorry. So now, without further ado, here is another mind-boggling episode of Impact!
They recap the Main-event feud of the last few weeks, and then they throw to the ring with Immortal already in the ring. Sting and RVD make their way to the ring, but are stopped by Al Snow, DLO Brown, and another agent I didn’t recognize. Hogan mumbles some garbage before he hits D-Lo. After that, Sting and RVD jump in the ring, followed by fortune, and they send Immortal packing. Then something amazing happens. Robert Roode gets on the mic and cuts an awesome promo. He says he’s not going to talk about how he and his friends built the company, or how Hogan has done nothing in the last 18 months. He says how much he loves the business, and how proud he is that at the end of the day, he gets to provide for his family. He mentions being a blue-collar guy, which was okay because that connects him to the fans, but are we supposed to forget that he is the “Money” part of Beer Money? It’s not that big a deal though.

WTF: TNA Impact 4/28/11

Hello wonderful readers! Welcome to another breathtaking, exhilarating episode of TNA! Are you ready for logical thought processing? No, then what the hell are you doing watching TNA? Let’s begin, shall we?
They show a recap of last week’s episode, including Hogan’s great “double fisted kangaroo” quote. After that, we are greeted in the Impact Zone by Taz and Tenay, as well as various women that work for TNA, including behind the scenes standing in the ring.

It’s no secret that WWE Superstar CM Punk has been unhappy recently in WWE. Between being one of the company’s best talkers and hardest work horses, CM Punk has put in his time and carried less talented guys through matches and promos for the past five years. Now he’s a veteran in the locker room, but he’s still treated like any other guy on the payroll. And since lack of recognition+needing a break-main eventer income+daddy needing+a new pair of shoes=CM Punk looking to leave WWE. Fortunately the WWE brass plan ahead for such eventualities, and have a solution to this problem;

TNA Impact 04/21/11
By Marc B.
Welcome to the latest edition of WTF! This episode is dealing with the fallout from Lockdown. So without further ado, here we go….
They open up with a video recap of the main events from Lockdown. No need to show those pesky X-division stars though. After the video package, we are thrown to the Impact Zone, where we are greeted by Immor-?!? What’s this? Its AJ Styles, and hes in a cage. This is a welcome break from the normal 20-minute diatribe that we have all become accustomed to. He wants Bully Ray. Oh, and there’s the canned noise again. It’s very distracting. I know I will get someone complaining, so I will say that I didn’t like when WWE did it either. Moving on, AJ wants Bully to come out and face him like a man. Bully’s music hits and out comes the former Dudley Boy. I miss those days too.

TNA Lockdown
April 17, 2011
Cincinnati, Ohio
They had a good video package promoting the matches on the show. In case you don’t know every match on the PPV will be inside of a steel cage. TNA uses a black steel cage.
The wide shot of the arena in Cincinnati showed a lot of fans on the camera side, but I had a reader send me a pic of the camera side. It’s very empty. Basically they moved people from that side of the building onto the other side of the building where they would be on camera. It’s a common move in wrestling to make the building look fuller.
